Halifax, NS - September 21, 2008 - The Queen Elizabeth 2, the most famous ocean liner in the world, made her final call to Halifax during her Farewell Season in service for the distinguished Cunard Line. Sunday marked the ship's 27th call to Halifax since her maiden call on October 11, 1973.
Since the royal naming by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1967, QE2 has logged more than 5.6 million nautical miles (equivalent to traveling to the moon and back 13 times), carrying over 2.5 million passengers. The regal ship will complete her service in November 2008 as Cunard's longest-serving liner.
