October 21, 2010 – Halifax, N.S - The Port of Halifax reached a cruise milestone today with over a quarter million passengers visiting the port this season. This means a significant economic benefit with an estimated expenditure of $50 million from passenger, crew, and cruise lines to our local area. Today there are four cruise ships docked at the Port of Halifax, with a total passenger capacity of 10,000.
This year’s cruise season started on April 27th and finishes on October 30th.
